Columbia Records distributed this radio station promotional single to publicize its Broadway Cast Recording of the musical I Can Get It For You Wholesale, with music and lyrics by Harold Rome. Barbra Streisand was the big hit in that show with her second act song, “Miss Marmelstein.”
Even though fans could not buy this single in stores, it is Barbra's first one. The recording of “Miss Marmelstein” is the same version that appears on the original cast album, too.
