DISCOGRAPHY & MUSIC

Streisand / Music

Barbra Streisand has recorded music since 1962. Her music has been released in just about every format:  vinyl records, 8-Track Tapes, CDs, and digitally.

According to Billboard (the music industry's magazine), Barbra Streisand is the female soloist with the most No. 1 albums (eleven), and is the only artist to have achieved No. 1 albums in the 1960s, '70s, '80s, '90s, ‘00s and '10s. Streisand also owns the unique distinction of having the longest span between No. 1 albums—52 years.

"Her longevity in an industry characterized by change, her natural vocal abilities, and her unique interpretive skills place her near the top of any list of America's most significant song stylists," wrote Linda Pohly.

With a voice that the New York Times deemed as "singularly compelling," Barbra Streisand is known worldwide as one of our best singers.
