About the Album

Barbra Streisand wrote that “For some time, I had dreamed of scoring a movie. When I produced Nuts, the dream became a reality — after all, who else would hire me ... or fire me?!”

Barbra explained, “As a courtroom drama, Nuts required very little music, so I decided to give it a shot.”

Columbia Records released the soundtrack to Barbra's 1987 film drama ... with music by Barbra Streisand! Running only 13 minutes in length, it's reported that Columbia only pressed 12,000 CDs. The album was also available on vinyl and cassette.  It tends to show up on eBay often, with sellers charging anywhere from $75 and up.

The second track is an instrumental. It underscores the scene where Barbra's character meets a client in a bar.  The melody is “Here We Are At Last,” the song Streisand wrote with Richard Baskin that appeared on her 1984 album, Emotion.
