DRAFT VERSION (more to come!):

For years, fans have traded the Yentl demos; this new CD contains a few surprises, though.

• “Tomorrow Night (Demo)” is an earlier version of the song with a completely different melody in the middle.  I've never heard this version before!  Also, there is more narration by Yentl, which the later versions truncated.
• One demo is not included:  a Michel Legrand solo vocal of “Tomorrow Night (Reprise)”.  After hearing Barbra's narration on this new CD, I believe it was the vocal that the women were to sing to Hadas in the bathhouse as she was being cleansed for her wedding night.
• “The Way He Makes Me Feel” (called “The Way I Feel” on these demos) replaced another song called “Whoever Counted On This.”
• It's fun to hear Barbra admit on the demo tape that “A Piece of Sky” is “still a work in progress. It's not quite finished.” (But it sounds GREAT!).
• Although for years I've included the pop version of “Piece of Sky” on this website as an unreleased track, we discovered while compiling this CD that although a Dave Grusin instrumental track exists, Barbra never recorded a vocal to it.  And the instrumental track is ... very 1980s!  Ultimately, I'm not sure it would have been a winner, this track.
• “Several Sins A Day (Orchestrated)” was a surprise discovery!  A completely orchestrated version of this unused song?! How cool is that?!
