Dutch Treat Club (1962)

16 Gramercy Park S, New York, NY

April 10, 1962
Founded in 1905 as a club for creative people, the club's name stuck when members each paid their own lunch bill (or paid "dutch"). The club, still in existence, has produced an annual yearbook since 1920.

Barbra Archives tracked down this rare Streisand performance in the club's 1963 yearbook.

Weekly meeting entertainment included performers such as Ray Bolger, Lillian Roth, Don Adams, Carol Bruce, Jerry Stiller and Ann Meara, Maurice Chevalier and Jack Benny ..... and “newcomer” Barbara [sic] Streisand.

Streisand appeared at the club on April 10, 1962 with her I Can Get It For You Wholesale co-star Lillian Roth, singing songs from the show (it's assumed Streisand would have sung “Miss Marmelstein.”)
A page from the 1963 year book and a newspaper clipping announcing Streisand's appearance at the club.
