This was the last episode of The Ed Sullivan Show that Barbra would appear on.  It was also the season premiere of Ed Sullivan's twenty-second season!

Streisand sang — on tape from the International Hotel, where Sullivan had sent a crew to videotape her Las Vegas concert. Introduced on stage by Sullivan himself, Barbra Streisand sang a medley from her forthcoming 20th Centurty Fox film, Hello, Dolly! including “So Long Dearie” and “Before the Parade Passes By.”

Under the supervision of Sullivan's executive producer Bob Precht, Barbra's entire Las Vegas show was taped for a possible one-hour television special for the 1970 television season. She performed for the cameras and an invited audience of Las Vegas entertainers at 2:15 a.m. on Monday, July 28th. That show was never aired, and the T.V. special remains unreleased.
