Barbra: We're making a video, and people are talking, they're lighting in the background, and we're doing this at the same time. It's real.

B: I always loved Vince's voice, so maybe he would sing with me.

Vince: Phone rings. Says Barbra Streisand would like to do a duet with you. And I said, "Yeah, right, and I'm the Pope." I mean, for me, if you have icons of voices, you think of Barbra Streisand for a woman and Frank Sinatra for a man. This is a chance for me to do something really special. I was extremely flattered, and I said, "Man, that would really be sweet."

B: I said I'd love to do a country song, perhaps a duet. Richard Marx wrote a funny country title, and he was kind of joking. He said, “If You Ever Leave Me, Can I Come Too.” And, I said, “That is so funny, and so charming, and so true.” So I said, “Why don't you try to write that song.”

Well, I never thought of myself as a country singer. But, I love the simplicity of some of the songs and some of the music. It just goes to the heart about life.

V: From my perspective, what's interesting is that I'm sliding over into Barbra's world. It's Richard's song, it's a pop song. It's the same for Barbra—she feels like she's kind of comin' into my world, and that's a really neat mix.

B: A city girl and a country boy.

V: Did I think in my wildest dreams that I'd ever get to do this? No, 'course not.

B: That's so sweet. Thank you.

V: You bet.

B: Thank you. D'you like my accent?

V: Yeah, it's real good.

B: I was tryin' to talk like that, y'all.
