Barbra was a big hit on Broadway, playing Miss Marmelstein in the musicalI Can Get It For You Wholesale .

On April 4th, she stopped by the New York studio of NBC's Today Show to sing the song  “ Much More” from   The Fantasticks

Following her song, Barbra was interviewed by one of the Today Showhosts. For years fans have identified the male voice as John Chancellor, but that is not correct. The woman (heard at the end) is Pat Fontaine. The man doing the interview is most likely Jack Lescoulie. Hugh Downs and Frank Blair were also Today Show hosts in 1962, but their voices and manner were a bit more buttoned-down and serious than Lescoulie was.

Jack Lescoulie, Hugh Downs, guest Groucho Marx, and Pat Fontaine.
