ABOUT THE SINGLE

“Stout-Hearted Men” is notable because is it a different vocal than what appears on the Simply Streisand album. On the single, Streisand does not do a Mae West impersonation.

“Look” is a track Barbra recorded for her French album, Je m'appelle Barbra. This song is considered rare in Streisand's discography because it only appeared on this vinyl single — never on a Streisand album, and never in digital form. The French-language version of “Look” is “Et La Mer,” which appears on Barbra's French EP.  Earl Shuman wrote the English lyrics which are heard on this single.
