This second single from Barbra's big, hit album, Higher Ground, was released only in Europe. The CD-single is rare because it included the elusive French language version of “Evergreen,” only previously available on 7-inch vinyl in France.

“I Believe” had a shorter and edited intro, plus an added lengthy outro. This version was not on the album — the same version also appeared on 2005's compilation CD Hurricane Relief: Come Together Now. 

Also, tracks #1 & 2 appear on a two-song single in a cardboard sleeve (#665522-1).
